Who We Are

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Possession of an Educational Aide Permit issued by the Ohio Department of Education

• Assist students in proper behavior before, during, and after exiting the cafeteria
• Assist with decorations of the cafeteria to reinforce good behavior and eating habits
• Assist staff and students in keeping the cafeteria clean and neat, including picking up litter and wiping tables
• Operate cafeteria tables and assist in folding and moving tables as needed
• Carry out established behavior modification programs
• Assist with record‑keeping functions when required, possibly in the school office after cafeteria duties are completed
• Participate in and supervise emergency preparedness drills
• Assist with feeding, lifting, and/or moving students
• Perform other duties as assigned

As a contracted employee, this position works 2 hours per day for 188 days per year.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 10:45 am – 1:00 pm (or as assigned, up to 2.5 hours per day).

Starting salary: $20.19 per hour. Salary and other details are available online in the Springfield Education United Support Staff Agreement (SEUSS).

Position for the 26‑27 school year, starting in August.
