Who We Are: The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seeking a High School Assistant Boys Soccer Coach for the 2026-27 school year. We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre‑K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning community of 17 state‑of‑the‑art buildings in west‑central Ohio. The district values racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic diversity.

Our academic and extracurricular aim is to ensure social and emotional learning growth for students with opportunities such as a 1:1 initiative and the You Media Center.

• Completion of Coaches' Tool Chest coursework (Fundamentals of Coaching, CPR, First Aid, Concussion, Lindsay's Law, Mental Health, etc)
• Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Pupil Activity Permit as issued by the Ohio Department of Education
• Being a role model and mentor to student athletes
• Build strong communication links between students, parents, and the community
• Develop action plans to create a disciplined team, with coaches and student athletes
• Ensure all required documents are on file with Human Resources by first practice date and maintained throughout the season

Stipend: $3,821.00
