Position SummaryThe Lima campus of The Ohio State University seeks a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, starting Autumn 2026. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to the teaching mission of the university and will teach calculus, pre‑calculus, statistics, computer science, and linear programming courses at the college level.
Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction in calculus, pre‑calculus, statistics, computer science, and linear programming courses.
- Develop and assess student learning, providing timely feedback and support.
- Maintain effective classroom environments conducive to learning.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
- Engage in scholarly activities and professional development as required.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in mathematics or a related field.
- Evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate level.
- At least 1 year of teaching experience at the college level.
- Experience working as part of a teaching team.
- Enthusiasm and self‑motivation.
- Prior teaching experience at a land‑grant university, regional campus, or the Ohio State University.
