About the Organization: ARC Voyagers is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through whole-person, person-centered services. For over 60 years, we’ve been meeting people where they are and helping them navigate paths toward greater independence, connection, and opportunity in Central Ohio. We provide tailored support and integrated programming to help people achieve their personal goals, whether it’s finding meaningful employment, building relationships, or developing new skills.
Location: 2780 Airport Dr. Suite 450, Columbus, OH 43219
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Hourly Wage: $18.00 per hour

An Employment Support Professional (ESP) supports individuals with disabilities as they prepare for, obtain, and retain community employment. ESPs create lasting positive impacts on people’s lives and enjoy coaching, mentoring, training, and encouraging others to meet their goals on the path to community employment. A personal vehicle is required to provide community-based services.
- Empowering People: Help individuals build confidence, independence, and real‑world job skills.
- Building Connections: Create opportunities by connecting with local employers and community partners.
- Making Employment Happen: Actively assist people in finding, preparing for, and succeeding in real jobs.
- Coaching for Success: Provide hands‑on support with resumes, on‑the‑job guidance, and progress coaching.
- Problem Solving & Planning: Assess strengths, navigate barriers, and shape personalized paths to success.
- Keeping Things on Track: Document progress, meet service requirements, and ensure compliance.
- Staying on the move: Work actively in the community; no desk‑bound hours.
- 21+ years of age with a high school diploma (or equivalent).
- Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
. - People‑focused communicator who can coach, motivate, and build strong relationships.
- Problem‑solver & self‑starter who works well independently and adapts quickly.
- Comfortable with technology (Microsoft Office and similar tools).
- Positive, professional, and driven to make a difference.
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Must submit to a BCII/FBI background check and Nurse Abuse & Abuser Registry checks.
- Maintain American Red Cross or equivalent first aid and CPR certification.
- Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License and insurability standards.
- Complete eight hours of training as required by the Ohio Department of Development upon hire.
- Obtain Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) credential within twelve months of hire.
- Passing a physical exam may be required based on job assignments.
