Position Summary

Next Gen Leader Program Mission Staff – lead and participate in effective Young Life ministry.

• Spiritually develop children and youth through prayer, spiritual disciplines, fellowship, growth, health and church relationships; create a yearly personal growth plan and maintain relationships within a church community.
• Develop and equip leaders, committees, and staff; recruit and train volunteers, foster team building, provide supervision, and cast vision.
• Fuel the ministry by raising financial support, caring for donors, managing public relations and branding, and networking with community adults such as principals, pastors, parents and potential committee members.
• Proclaim and model the gospel through contact work, clubs, Campaigners, and camp; lead teams to plan and conduct ministries and summer camp strategies; serve on a summer assignment each year.
• Maintain ministry support: handle accounting, administration, internal communication, data management, strategic planning, financial stewardship, and transparent record‑keeping for kids, leaders and donors.
• Perform additional duties as assigned that support ministry goals and community needs.

• Mission wide training: optional New Staff Training, Winter Training, Focus Conferences, and Young Life University.
• Regional training: optional events at the region’s discretion.
• Area training: required participation in area leadership training and individualized training for personal spiritual growth and ministry skills.

• College degree preferred.
• Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must profess belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and sign the Young Life Statement of Faith.
