Substitute Teacher

Position Overview

St. Joseph Montessori School is looking for highly qualified substitute teachers to join our dynamic community. Substitute teachers will work with children ages 18 months through 8th grade in a co‑teaching team model. Montessori overview training is required and will be provided by the school. Candidates should have a deep respect for children, be peaceful, able to follow guidance, and a lifelong learner.

• Ability to support and promote a team environment
• Enthusiasm, initiative, high energy level, sense of humor, and flexibility
• Physical ability to work around children, including sitting on the floor, standing, crouching, and climbing stairs
• Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25 pounds on an occasional basis
• Enthusiasm when working with children and adolescents
