Position: Anatomy Faculty (open rank and track)

Position Overview

The Division of Anatomy at Ohio State University College of Medicine (OSUMC) in Columbus, OH invites applications for Lecturer, Assistant or Associate Professor Rank full‑time faculty position focused on undergraduate anatomy. Candidates must have earned a doctorate in Anatomy or related field and demonstrate a strong record of excellence in undergraduate education, administration, and pedagogy. Experience in teaching human gross anatomy and the ability to teach courses such as dissection, histology, embryology, and/or neuroanatomy is required.

Candidates should also have a record of peer‑reviewed scholarly activity and an ability to engage in collaborative research.

Performance Objectives
  • Deliver full‑time teaching in undergraduate anatomy lecture and laboratory courses, collaborating with faculty on curriculum development.
  • Mentor undergraduate, graduate, and professional students in research projects within the applicant’s area of expertise.
  • There are no clinical responsibilities or duties for this position.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Doctorate in the anatomical sciences or equivalent.
  • Evidence of familiarity with human dissection‑based teaching.
  • Evidence of potential for successful teaching at the college/university level.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interprofessional communication skills.
  • Demonstrated eagerness to collaborate with colleagues, staff, and administrators to improve educational experiences for students.
Desired Qualifications
  • Preference for candidates with human laboratory instructional experience.
  • Preference for candidates who have evidence of strong collaborative education experience with other applied academic health sciences departments.
