Overview: The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seeking a Preschool Teacher/Preschool Intervention Specialist for the school year. The district serves approximately 7,500 Pre‑K through grade 12 students and offers a vibrant learning community with 17 state‑of‑the‑art buildings. Clark Early Learning Center is a 5‑Star rated preschool serving roughly 350 students, ages three through five, and we are proud Wildcats.

- Hold current dual licensure issued by the Ohio Department of Education with certification to teach Preschool students in an integrated classroom (50% general education, 50% special needs).
- Be in possession of or be in the process of applying for the Reading Endorsement or have passed Praxis 5203 (Teaching Reading: Elementary Education).
- Be flexible in your work schedule and be willing to attend/participate in professional development sessions.
- Be willing to serve on teams that require constant collaboration.
- Relate to and teach students with diverse backgrounds.
- Teach students with special needs and English Language Learners.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm in your role.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials, and provide individualized and small‑group instruction to meet each student’s needs.

- Actively engage at‑risk students, using appropriate instructional strategies for all learners, including special needs and English Language Learners.

- Utilize technology to strengthen the teaching and learning process.
- Implement High Scope curriculum and Conscious Discipline practices with fidelity.
- Capture data using a wide range of tools, analyze it, and use it to drive differentiated instruction.
- Support and remain patient with preschool students as they learn social‑emotional skills.
- Participate in professional development activities aligned with district and building goals.
- Remain flexible, willing to compromise, and maintain a solution‑focused mindset at all times.
- Be enthusiastic and spread joy to students, colleagues, and families whenever possible.
Contract Basis: 183 days per year, 7.25 hours per day.
Salary: In accordance with the negotiated agreement; increases with experience and education.
