Lower School Spanish Teacher Responsibilities
  • Teach several Spanish courses for students in grades K-5.
  • Design and implement Spanish curriculum for lower school students.
  • Conduct research on teaching methods, materials, and language games that can be used in class.
  • Cultivate an immersive classroom environment that supports authentic language acquisition.
  • Monitor student's progress by writing up reports and grading assessments.
  • Organize feedback sessions with students and their parents if applicable.
  • Identify students needing additional support and coordinate intervention sessions to improve academic performance.
  • Participate in regular professional development activities to stay current with best practices and innovation in language education.
Lower School Spanish Teacher Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Elementary Education, or related required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish required.
  • At least 2-3 years of previous elementary teaching experience.
  • No teaching license or credential is required.
  • Strong interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well‑organized and able to handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Detail‑oriented and resilient.
Additional Desired Qualities
  • A desire to be involved in extra‑curricular activities as well as the broader school community.
  • Willingness to work with lower school students.
