Job Title:

Senior Program Manager## Department:

Social Work | Faculty Affairs

LiFEsports, at the College of Social Work, is nationally recognized as a premier model for sport-based positive youth development (PYD) programming and has grown to address the ever-changing needs of our community’s youth. Our work impacts the lives our community members as we strive to address the broader social conditions young people face, especially those exposed to various social vulnerabilities. Our focus on outreach and community programs has continued to impact the sport-based PYD field by developing tomorrow’s leaders and workforce through teaching, training, and developing individuals in the field of PYD.

Our ongoing research, evaluations and publications demonstrate the impact and differences community-based sports can make in the lives of vulnerable youth. Findings are used to inform evidence-based practices in sport-based PYD across the world.

The Senior Program Manager will work in LiFEsports at the College of Social Work, and, under the direction of the LiFEsports Associate Director will coordinate, manage, and implement, and develop community outreach, engagement, and educational programs in Central Ohio and surrounding communities. The Senior Program Manager collaborates with LiFEsports leadership to support, manage, and curate community and University partnerships. This position will assist the LiFEsports Associate Director in research and implementation of community-based outreach programs and interventions.

Specific activities include the coordination of the day-to-day program operations including maintaining accurate youth attendance records, developing and implementing program curricula, and partnering with community partners to implement sport-based social skills programming for underserved youth.
