Job DescriptionAs an Intervention Specialist, you will work with students to improve academic performance, provide individualized instruction, and support the overall social-emotional development of learners.
Responsibilities- Deliver differentiated instruction and develop lesson plans to meet the needs of each student.
- Analyze data to plan instruction aligned with Common Core State Standards.
- Manage and instruct whole and small groups.
- Write standards-based IEPs and provide individualized instruction.
- Engage at‑risk students using appropriate strategies, activities, and materials.
- Collaborate with educators and administrators to achieve district goals.
- Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Participate in professional development aligned with district and building goals.
- Lead professional development for school-wide restorative practices.
- Serve on teams and attend professional development sessions as required.
- Possess or have obtained an Intervention Specialist license issued by the Ohio Department of Education, or be able to acquire one.
- Flexible work schedule and willingness to attend professional development sessions.
- Ability to relate to and teach students from diverse backgrounds.
- Enthusiasm for the role and a commitment to student success.
- Experience with writing standards-based IEPs.
Contracted employee status with 183 days per year and 7.25 hours per day. Starting salary in accordance with negotiated agreement, with increases based on experience and education. Competitive benefits for contracted employees. All employees receive professional development. Pay and benefits details per the 2025-26 school year agreement.
