ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified 4th Grade Teacher for Columbus Bilingual Academy North (CBAN), a public charter K‑8 bilingual program in Columbus, Ohio.
CBAN offers daily Spanish instruction and a range of specialty subjects, activities, and extracurriculars. The program focuses on nurturing teachers and providing small group learning, educational technology, and a safe campus environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver lesson plans, modifying as needed during the school year
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and development
- Use research‑based best practices in daily planning and instruction
- Manage student behavior in the classroom
- Create a positive learning environment
- Use school‑approved curricula that reflect diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds
- Implement school‑wide culture expectations and norms
- Communicate with families about the academic and social‑emotional growth of their child
- Integrate technology skills into daily classroom practice
- Participate in planning and implementing non‑instructional activities as needed
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Active and current Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
- Comfortable working in a growth‑focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential information
- Ability to supervise students of various ages in different school settings (playground, cafeteria, etc.)
- Pass federal and state criminal background checks
- Experience working within an urban environment
Compensation – Salary range $48,000–57,500, with adjustments based on geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
