About TES Academy
TES Academy is a non‑public charter school serving students ages 3‑21. Many public districts in Ohio contract with us to assist in educating their students who require more intensive instruction. Our classrooms are small and teacher/student ratios are low, enabling students to receive the personal attention they need and deserve.
- Be a Founding Team Member – Help build TES Academy Columbus/Dublin from the ground up and shape the culture, programming, and student experience from day one.
- Purpose‑Driven Work – Make a meaningful impact with students of all abilities through individualized, data‑driven instruction and integrated therapeutic support.
- Collaborative, Multi‑Disciplinary Team – Work alongside OTs, SLPs, BCBAs, and related service providers to support the whole child—together.
- Supportive Leadership & Growth Opportunities – Be part of a leadership team that invests in you, values your voice, and supports your professional growth.
- Smaller Setting, Bigger Impact – Enjoy manageable caseloads and the ability to truly connect with and support each student’s success.
- Provide small group and one‑on‑one instruction to students needing extra support in reading, writing, math, and other skill areas.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique learning style.
- Partner with families, general education teachers, and support staff to ensure consistent communication and progress tracking.
- Maintain compliance with IDEA and all relevant state and federal regulations.
- Hold a valid Special Education credential and ODE license (or a General Education license with willingness to obtain an IS license).
- Are committed to creating an inclusive, positive classroom environment.
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with students and families.
- Can adapt instruction to meet a wide range of student needs.
- Background check clearance (BCI/FBI).
- TB test within the last 12 months.
- Automobile insurance meeting 25/50k liability coverage.
- Access to mobile phone/email and basic internet if working offsite.
- Primarily school‑based with some varied settings (classrooms, resource rooms, small group areas).
- Moderate to high energy environment, with daily opportunities to engage, move, and interact.
- Collaboration with colleagues, students, and families who share a common mission.
