We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic High School Science Teacher to join our team and inspire the next generation of learners.
Position Overview:
As a High School Science Teacher at ACPA, you'll have the opportunity to shape young minds, cultivate a deep understanding of science. We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to creating an interactive and inclusive learning environment that empowers students to thrive academically, including those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons that align with the Ohio State Standards for Science while being mindful of students' diverse needs.
- Develop and tailor supplementary educational materials, including handouts, multimedia resources, and real-world case studies, with a focus on accommodating IEP and 504 plan accommodations to ensure equal access to education.
- Foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and a passion for social studies in students by incorporating current events, diverse perspectives, and interactive projects into the curriculum.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, making education accessible to all students.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respectful behavior and active participation for all students.
- Effectively manage class time and student conduct to optimize the learning experience.
- Communicate with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress, address any concerns, & include strategies for success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field;
Master's degree is a plus. - Teaching certification or licensure for Science (7-12).
- Demonstrated by the ability to create and adapt curriculum to accommodate diverse student needs.

- Salary commensurate with experience & education based on salary schedule
