Multiple Intervention Specialists / Special Education Teachers

Columbus, OH

Job Type: Full-Time (35–40 hours per week) for  SY

Position Overview

EDU-AIDS is seeking a dedicated and qualified Intervention Specialist / Special Education Teacher to support students in achieving academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success. In this role, you will provide individualized instruction and targeted interventions aligned with students’ learning needs and IEP goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide targeted academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions based on individual student needs.
  • Conduct virtual and/or in-person assessments to identify strengths and areas for growth.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention and instructional plans.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to ensure consistent student support.
  • Track student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including IEPs, progress reports, and service logs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local special education regulations.
  • Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development activities as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist or Special Education Teaching License.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities and implementing IEPs.
  • Experience in virtual or hybrid instruction is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with online learning platforms and educational technology.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
