Arts and Sciences | Chemistry and Biochemistry Administration

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry within the College of Arts and Sciences seeks an Education Program Lead Coordinator to join our team.

• Assist General Chemistry Lab Supervisor with everyday chemistry needs;
• Assist in the development, implementation, and setup of general chemistry labs;
• Assist with the development and preparation of teaching aids, including laboratory manuals, Carmen assignments, and laboratory rubrics;
• Provide mentoring to teaching assistants and monitor TA adherence to grading policies and deadlines;
• Assist the Gen Chem Lab Supervisor and TA training coordinator with the training and mentoring of graduate students, undergraduate students, and staff teaching assistants;
• Develop ongoing TA training materials;
• Manage and facilitate staff meetings;
• Assist with responding to inquiries regarding general or organic chemistry courses;
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum required qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education/experience.

Desired qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree with a major in chemistry or biochemistry.
• Previous teaching experience in a university setting.

Pay range: $20.24 - $26.44 per hour.

40 hours per week, First Shift.
