Job Title: Associate/Full Professor – Faculty – Radiology, Translational Biomedical Imaging Research

Department: Radiology, College of Medicine

Position Overview

The Department of Radiology at The Ohio State University (OSU) seeks experienced candidates for tenure‑track faculty positions in translational biomedical imaging research at the associate or full professor level. Candidates will develop and lead an independent research program, secure grant funding, mentor trainees, and collaborate across the College of Medicine and university. The appointment is tenure‑track with startup package commensurate with record and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead an independent translational research program in MRI and/or molecular imaging applications in neuroscience.
  • Secure external grant funding (minimum 50% support from outside sources).
  • Mentor graduate and undergraduate trainees, postdoctoral scholars, and junior faculty.
  • Collaborate with investigators across the College of Medicine, university, and external partners to translate imaging technologies into clinical practice.
  • Teach courses and contribute to the college curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental and institutional service activities.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. (or equivalent terminal degree) in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related discipline.
  • Established record of research accomplishments and active grant portfolio, with emphasis on translational research in MRI or molecular imaging in neuroscience.
  • Demonstrated ability to secure external funding.
  • Strong commitment to education and mentoring.
  • Experience in interdisciplinary collaborations is a plus.

Location & Work Hours
