Lecturer - Division of Anatomy

Position Overview

The Division of Anatomy at The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, OH invites applications for a full‑time, one‑year position (with the potential for additional yearly renewal) as a Lecturer in Anatomy for the 2026‑2027 academic year. This position is well suited for a candidate who seeks a career in teaching with an emphasis on classroom and laboratory anatomical sciences education.

Preference will be given to applicants with prior training or experience in anatomy education.

• Teach undergraduate, graduate, and health professional students in gross anatomy, embryology, histology, and neuroanatomy courses as appropriate to the applicant’s qualifications.
• Perform administrative duties to improve course efficiency, assist in coordinating events for the Anatomy Outreach Program, and collaborate with other faculty on curriculum development within anatomy courses in a team‑based environment.
• Create inclusive classrooms and employ innovative pedagogy to engage diverse student populations.
• Develop publishable scholarship related to anatomical or education topics, in collaboration with Division faculty.

• Master’s degree in the anatomical sciences or equivalent (required). Doctorate in anatomical sciences or equivalent preferred.
• Prior training or experience in anatomy education preferred.
• Familiarity with dissection‑based teaching and laboratory instructional experience.
• Eagerness to engage with colleagues, staff, and administrators to improve educational experiences for students.
