* Position Overview:
** The Department of Biomedical Education and Anatomy is seeking a Director for the Anatomy Division of the department. Faculty (tenure preferred but not required) at the associate professor level or higher who have earned a doctorate or other terminal degree in a relevant field of study or who have possession of equivalent experience are invited to apply. The Anatomy Division Director is responsible for supervising the administrative services of a technologically advanced facility that supports human body donor-based anatomy instruction for health professions learners.
The incumbent will oversee the coordination of multidepartment administrative services, including IT, facilities, student services, budgetary financial management, and human resources to maintain operations, staffing, faculty and learner support. They are also responsible for managing and supporting the Body Donation Program activities and staff. Beyond the scope of health professions education, they will support the division’s education and research programs and ensure that the Division leads the nation in Anatomical Sciences Education and Scholarship.

*** Leadership and General Administrative Duties
** Create a positive work environment for the Division that encourages communication, trust, teamwork, and professional growth.
* Develop and maintain a culture that ensures all faculty and staff feel valued and supported. Strengthen others by showing appreciation and celebrating successes.
* Build a culture of professionalism, transparency, and accountability within the Division by being a role model, holding faculty accountable and providing timely and constructive feedback.
* Establish a system for ensuring that relevant information from the Department, Medical School, and Hospital/Health System is communicated in a timely manner to all faculty and staff.
* Actively partner with administrative staff to manage the business and financial operations of the Division.
* Serve as a role model of engagement in important Department, College, Hospital/Health System activities and initiatives.
* Follows all best practices concerning human body donor material uses in education and research according to state law and the standards for the field of anatomy set forth by relevant professional organizations (e.g. AAA, HAPS).
* Division-Specific Educational Programs
** Establish and maintain excellence of Division education programs that meet the needs of the following groups of learners, as appropriate and directed by the Department, Medical School and/or Hospital/Health System:
* Medical students
* Dental students
* Graduate students (MS and PhD)
* Undergraduate students
* Residents* Fellows
* Health professions practitioners (continuing medical education programs)
* Allied health professionals
* Ensure all education components meet accreditation requirements where applicable.
* Teaches in anatomy program consistent with expertise within the four major subfields (i.e., Gross Anatomy, Embryology, Histology, Neuroanatomy)
* Mentors faculty, learners and graduate students
