Position Overview

Division of Respiratory Therapy in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences seeks a full‑time, 12‑month, non‑tenure track Associated Faculty position at the rank of Instructor of Practice, teaching the Respiratory Therapy program during Spring, Summer, and Autumn semesters.

Performance Objectives
  • Update the curriculum master in Carmen Canvas.
  • Prepare and deliver didactic and lab course material in conjunction with needs identified by the Division Director and Program Director.
  • Meet regularly with the Division Director, faculty, students, and other parties as required.
  • Attend faculty meetings.
  • Conduct classes, laboratories, and simulations as appropriate.
  • Undertake course management and administration of all assignments and examinations.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; experience in Respiratory Therapy, training, and mentoring students across various courses and laboratories; experience in lab and didactic teaching; proficiency with Canvas LMS.
  • Desired: Administrative experience; record of intentional teaching practice, including creating inclusive environments, using new techniques and activities, promoting diversity of thought, and encouraging open‑minded exploration.
