Job Title: Lecturer (SEM) – Brass Small Ensemble & Applied Trombone (Autumn 2026)

Position OverviewThe School of Music seeks a Lecturer to teach Music 2208.05 (Brass Small Ensemble) and 19 one-hour weekly applied trombone lessons in Autumn 2026. In addition to teaching, the Lecturer prepares syllabi and course materials for assigned courses, holds office hours, grades assignments and submits grades by deadlines, and communicates regularly with students.
Responsibilities- Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
- Meet scheduled classes and office hours in accordance with university policy.
- Ensure curriculum implementation and course preparation in accordance with department standards.
- Prepare homework and exams, evaluate, and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and submit final grade roster in accordance with established university deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with FERPA.

Demonstrated evidence of successful teaching in higher education.
