OverviewThe Ohio State University at Mansfield invites applications for a Lecturer to teach one or both of the following Fisher College of Business classes for the 2026 Autumn semester. Courses are typically in-person and held in the evenings. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to the teaching mission of The Ohio State University and experience teaching lecture courses. Course syllabi will be shared with successful candidates.
Courses- BUSFIN 3220 – Business Finance Course explores fundamentals of Financial Management from a corporation’s perspective. Emphasis on Time Value of Money concepts and applying those ideas to evaluating stocks, bonds and capital budgeting decisions. Pre‑requisites:
Accounting and Economics. - BUSFIN 3500 – Legal Environment of Business Introduction to the U.S. legal system and sources of law, and an analysis of basic legal concepts related to business decisions. Primary areas covered include torts, contracts, and employment law. It will involve discussion, questions and answers on the materials, and case study.
- Deliver high-quality instruction in assigned Business Finance courses
- Prepare course materials, assessments, and syllabi aligned with departmental standards
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to students
- Maintain regular communication and hold office hours (in‑person or virtual) to support student learning
- Foster a supportive classroom environment
- Collaborate with other faculty and staff as needed to support student learning and ensure curriculum alignment across sections.
- Master’s degree in business or related field
- Background in fields related to business finance and/or legal aspects of business
- Experience using Canvas
- Prior experience teaching in a higher education setting
- Candidates who might also be able to cover Accounting and/or Business:
Human Resources and Management courses
- Curriculum vitae
