The Digital Literacy Instructor role is instrumental in our accelerated workforce development training program, teaching and guiding students through basic digital literacy concepts, covering essential digital skills and technologies used in today’s workforce. As an instructor, you will lead by teaching our comprehensive and inclusive digital literacy curriculum to meet the needs of the program participants. Additional duties include hands‑on learning strategies of classroom technologies, assessing student progress, and providing supportive guidance to enhance digital literacy skills.

- Deliver comprehensive and engaging instruction on a range of digital literacy topics, including basic computer skills and operating systems, internet navigation and online safety, email and communication tools, productivity software (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations), digital collaboration and file management, online research and information literacy, social media usage and digital etiquette, and cybersecurity awareness.
- Facilitate hands‑on learning experiences and guide students to enhance their digital literacy skills.
- Utilize instructional resources effectively and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Collaborate with program staff to ensure curriculum alignment and provide input on curriculum enhancements.
- Utilize effective assessment techniques to measure student progress and performance.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to guide students’ learning journey.
- Determine and submit grades in accordance with college policies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records.
- Identify students needing additional support and connect them with available resources or the ATC Career Navigator.
- Demonstrate punctuality, attendance, and a professional work ethic.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to contribute to student success and overall team goals.
- Foster and maintain a safe environment of respect and inclusion for faculty, staff, students, and members of the community.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Two (2) years of teaching or instructional experience.
- Strong focus on digital literacy skills and instructional methodologies.
- Relevant certifications in teaching digital literacy and related areas (e.g., Microsoft Office Specialist Certification, Microsoft Certified Instructor (MCE), CompTIA IT Fundamentals+, CompTIA A+, IC3 Certification).
- State Motor Vehicle License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
