Lecturer - Division of Biostatistics

The Division of Biostatistics is accepting applications for a part-time Lecturer to teach one graduate, full semester course from 8/25/2026 to 12/9/2026 during the Autumn 2026 semester. The course, "PUBHBIO 7215, Design and Analysis of Clinical Trials," [2 credits] introduces students to protocol development, randomization schemes, sample size methods, and ethical issues. This is an online course but has 1 hour of synchronous meeting time per week (Tuesdays, 11:45am-12:40pm Eastern).

Students will learn through class exercises and assignments. The university will not sponsor candidates for work visas for this position.

Performance objectives include presenting course material and guiding students through assignments, creating an engaging on-line and in-person classroom environment, holding office hours, grading assignments, and demonstrating commitment to student success.

Education and experience requirements include a master's degree or equivalent, strong written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to or demonstrated efforts in teaching that reflect Ohio State's Mission, Vision and Values. Desired qualifications include a PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a closely related discipline, 2 or more years of experience in public health or industry setting, and availability to teach similar or identical courses in subsequent years.
