Senior Lecturer

Job Summary

The Department of Geography is looking for a Senior Lecturer to teach two courses in the Autumn Semester 2026. The Senior Lecturer will prepare syllabi and course materials, hold office hours, grade assignments, and communicate regularly with students.

• Teach and prepare two courses for the Autumn Semester 2026.
• Develop and update syllabi and course materials.
• Hold scheduled office hours and provide student support.
• Grade assignments, exams, and provide timely feedback.
• Submit final grades by department deadlines.
• Maintain accurate student progress records and submit final grade roster.
• Preserve confidentiality of student information in compliance with FERPA.

• Doctorate in a relevant field with evidence of high quality instruction, or
• Master’s degree and at least five years of teaching experience with documentation of high-quality performance.

• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
• Meet scheduled classes and office hours according to university policy.
• Implement curriculum and prepare courses per department standards.
• Prepare, evaluate, and return homework and exams promptly.
• Maintain accurate records and submit final grade roster on time.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with FERPA.
