What You’ll Do Academic Intervention
  • Provide individualized and small-group reading and mathematics intervention for eligible K–8 students.
  • Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction using Performance Academies' approved curriculum and instructional resources.
  • Differentiate instruction to address individual learning needs and close academic gaps.
  • Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to improve student achievement.
  • Reinforce classroom learning and support students in mastering grade-level standards.
Assessment & Progress Monitoring
  • Use formative and summative assessment data to identify learning needs and personalize instruction.
  • Monitor student growth and maintain accurate intervention schedules, progress monitoring data, and instructional records.
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to evaluate student progress and adjust intervention plans as needed.
  • Support school-wide academic improvement initiatives through data-driven decision making.
Student Support
  • Build positive relationships that encourage student confidence, engagement, and academic success.
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students' social-emotional growth while reinforcing school-wide behavior expectations.
  • Ensure student safety and comply with all mandatory reporting requirements.
Collaboration & Family Engagement
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, instructional coaches, intervention teams, and administrators to coordinate student support.
  • Participate in IAT and IEP meetings as requested.
  • Communicate student progress with families and school staff.
  • Participate in school events, professional development, and collaborative team meetings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Valid Ohio teaching license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Experience working with elementary or middle school students preferred.
  • Strong understanding of reading and mathematics instruction, intervention strategies, and data-driven decision making.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and instructional technology.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills
  • Experience providing academic intervention or tutoring in reading and/or mathematics.
  • Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and evidence-based intervention strategies.
  • Ability to analyze assessment data and develop targeted instructional plans.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
