Assistant Professor – Systematic and Constructive Theology

Capital University seeks applicants for an Assistant Professor in Systematic and Constructive Theology to work in the Columbus, OH area.

• Develop and teach introductory and advanced graduate-level courses in Christian Theology.
• Design and implement comprehensive curricula incorporating a variety of theological perspectives and multi‑religious frameworks.
• Prepare students for Christian ministry in global contexts.
• Supervise student academic research, theses, and professional publications.
• Deliver instruction through in‑person, remote, and hybrid environments.
• Lead specialized seminars in theological studies.
• Manage administrative academic functions, including coordination of examination protocols, evaluations, and student registration processes.
• Maintain a standard instructional load of at least 12 credit hours per academic year, distributed across Fall, January, Spring, and summer terms.
• Utilize advanced scholarly knowledge to equip students for Christian ministry across a range of denominational and cultural settings.

Wages offered: $60,010 per year.

Doctorate in Theology.

• Two (2) years of experience as Dean of Studies, Teaching Faculty, or Professor of Religions.
• Experience includes:

• Teaching courses in religion and theology.
• Leading seminars in theology.
• Supervising student research & publications.

40 hours per week, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
