Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior

The Department of Management and Human Resources at the The Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in organizational behavior. We seek a candidate with a recently completed or soon-to-be completed Ph.D. degree in a relevant field, and exceptional promise to produce high-quality, impactful OB research.

Immigration/visa sponsorship may be available in very limited situations (e.g., F1/OPT to H-1b, H-1b change of employer), but all decisions concerning immigration/visa sponsorship will depend on an evaluation of complexity and risk.

Performance Expectations:

  • Conduct and publish high quality research in top-tier academic journals
  • Develop and deliver effective teaching materials on behalf of the college's undergraduate, Master's, and doctoral programs
  • Contribute to doctoral education and mentoring
  • Provide rank-appropriate service to the department, college, university, and profession

Education and Experience Requirements:

Required:

Applicants must hold, or be nearing completion of, a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior or a related field, from an AACSB-accredited doctoral-granting institution. Also required is the ability to lead research projects to publication in top-tier academic journals and managing multiple projects simultaneously across different stages of the research and publication process

Desired:
Overlapping research interests with current OB/HR faculty, evidence of field-level engagement (e.g., participating in or organizing conference events), and methodological expertise that complements existing faculty strengths.

Additional Information:

Assistant Professors in this department currently have a base salary between $185,000 - $200,000. The offer for this position will be based on internal equity and the candidate's qualifications.
