Job DescriptionHigh School Math:
Algebra 1, and Geometry.
- Valid Ohio high school teaching license
- Ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible, resourceful, enthusiastic, and high energy level
- Must have a valid driver’s license and personal transportation
- Be willing to create engaging instructional activities that go beyond textbook learning
- Have the ability to creatively assist students who are faced with significant personal or learning challenges to increase students’ achievement and morale
- Be competent in all areas of Ohio Graduation Assessments
- Be committed to ongoing professional learning and growth
- Be willing to use technology effectively in the classroom
- Be willing and able to team with colleagues and college faculty
- Commit to students and the ultimate goal of graduation
- In collaboration with counselors and teachers, hold parent/student conferences on a semester basis
- Maintain accurate data and records to document all activities and services provided
- Analyze quarterly grades, district assessments, and end-of-course data for student progress
- Mentor and follow through with the identified students over a sustained period of time
- Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with students, school personnel, and families
- All other duties as assigned by district administration and/or building principal
