Who We Are: The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seekinga Cafeteria Security Aide for Lincoln Elementary School for the  school year. We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre-K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning community of 17 state of the art buildings in west-central Ohio. Our academic and extracurricular aim is to ensure social and emotional learning growth for students with a wealth of opportunity, including a 1:1 initiative and the You Media Center, which is a digital learning lab offering students activities such as 3-D printing, graphic design, and videography. As a Cafe Security Aide you are required to:

• AHigh School diploma or equivalent
• Possess Educational Aide Permit issued by the Ohio Department of Education

As a Cafe Security Aide you will:

• Assisting students in proper behavior before, during, and exiting the cafeteria
• Assist with decorations of the cafeteria, especially to reinforce good behavior and eating habits
• Assisting staff and students in keeping the cafeteria clean and neat. This may at times include the picking up of litter and helping wipe tables
• Ability to operate cafeteria tables and assists in folding and moving tables as needed
• Carries out established behavior modification programs
• Assist with recordkeeping functions when deemed necessary. This may be in the school office when cafeteria duties completed
• Participating and supervising during emergency preparedness drills
• Assisting with feeding, lifting, and/or moving students
• Performs other duties as assigned

What We Offer:

As a contracted employee, this position works is contracted at 2 hours per day but can work up to 2.5 hours per day, 188 days per year.

Monday - Friday 10:35am - 1:10pm or as assigned

Starting salary is $20.69 per hour
