The Registrar is responsible for information processing of student enrollments in accordance with school policy, interfacing with various departments and personnel to provide information concerning student records and program completion.
Responsibilities- Interpret transcripts of incoming students to ensure conformance with grading, curriculum, and credit systems.
- Verify credits earned to fulfill graduation requirements.
- Enter necessary information into the student information database (e.g., test scores, immunizations, court documents).
- Maintain records of completed coursework, grades, and academic achievements.
- Assist teachers with information for student academic planning.
- Inform administrators, counselors, or teachers of possible credit deficiencies or unusual placements.
- Serve as liaison between schools to procure relevant student records/files.
- Act as primary designee for student attendance reporting and participate in intervention committees.
- Conduct pre-enrollment interviews with new students and parents.
- Process requests from students, other districts, colleges/universities, or employment agencies for transcripts, job verification, etc.
- Complete and maintain forms required by departments such as Children Social Services, State Disability, adult programs, and other agencies.
- Compile student data and prepare general, statistical, and special reports for management.
- Communicate student or parent concerns to staff and leadership.
- Attend and assist with school events such as graduation and open house.
- Keep current with school policies and programs.
- Participate in staff meetings and development sessions.
- Administrative duties may be assigned or changed over time.
- Understanding of codes, regulations, and laws related to enrollment, graduation, and transfer.
- Excellent customer service skills, ability to greet customers friendly.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Planning and organizational skills; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work with the public and a variety of professionals.
- Ability to prepare general, statistical, and special reports.
- Multi-tasking skills; ability to react and respond to changing circumstances.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple requests while completing projects timely.
- Attention to detail and maintain accuracy.
- Record-keeping techniques.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Three (3) years office experience or two (2) years in a public school setting handling student or school information processing responsibilities.
- Experience using student information databases.
- Experience with word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Intermediate or advanced or expert skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to travel in performance of job duties is required.

- Talking: convey detailed instructions accurately, loudly, quickly.
- Average hearing: normal conversation and ordinary information.
