Intervention Specialist – Grades 3 & 4

Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and experienced Intervention Specialist to join a charter school in Columbus, OH, supporting students in 3rd and 4th grades
. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in special education, IEP development, and providing specially designed instruction (SDI).

• Develop, write, and maintain compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide required Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) minutes based on student IEPs.
• Manage a special education caseload of no more than 16 students.
• Monitor student progress and use data to guide instruction and interventions.
• Provide individualized academic and behavioral support based on student needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal special education requirements.
• Support an inclusive learning environment for students in grades 3 and 4.

• Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist/Special Education teaching license.
• Previous experience as an Intervention Specialist or Special Education Teacher.
• Experience writing and managing IEPs.
• Experience providing SDI minutes and monitoring student progress.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload of up to 16 students.
