POSITION SUMMARY:

The Student & Young Adult Ministry Director provides vision aligned leadership for CCCHURCH's student and young adult ministries by implementing ministry goals and objectives in partnership with CCCHURCH's leadership team. Rather than operating as an independent ministry owner, the Director translates CCCHURCH's mission, values, and Living the Way discipleship priorities into age appropriate ministry rhythms for middle school students, high school students, and young adults.

The Director cultivates a ministry environment that is spiritually grounded, relationally warm, engaging, fun, safe, and fully aligned with CCCHURCH's broader discipleship pathway. Through intentional leadership and disciple making, the Director develops volunteers and emerging leaders, strengthens trust and partnership with parents, establishes consistent ministry rhythms, and helps students and young adults take meaningful next steps in faith, community, service, and mission.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Vision Aligned Student Ministry Leadership:
  • Partner with church leadership to translate CCCHURCH's mission and discipleship priorities into a compelling approach for students
  • Plan and lead gatherings, small groups, events, retreats, camps and service opportunities that support church direction independently or with Network churches
  • Create engaging, safe ministry environments that students want to attend and invite friends into, aligned with CCCHURCH's theology and values
Young Adult Ministry Development:
  • Partner with CCCHURCH leadership to define needs and a ministry model for young adults
  • Create a practical pathway for young adults to belong, grow and serve at CCCHURCH
  • Develop leaders and ministry rhythms for college age and young adult participants to support community, service, and mission
Volunteer Team Building:
  • Recruit, equip and care for student and young adult volunteers aligned with CCCHURCH's leadership and discipleship culture
  • Build a complementary team of trusted leaders to expand ministry capacity and support the Director's vision
  • Establish clear expectations for volunteer roles, safety, training, communication and accountability
Teaching, Discipleship & Pastoral Care:
  • Deliver biblically faithful, age appropriate teaching aligned with CCCHURCH's theology, mission and Living the Way discipleship
  • Mentor students, young adults and leaders with integrity, wisdom, humility and compassion
  • Partner with parents and staff to navigate personal, relational, and spiritual challenges
Parent Communication & Partnership:
  • Update parents clearly on CCCHURCH's vision, schedules, events, themes, safety and direction
  • Build trust through responsiveness, transparency, consistency and personal availability
  • Equip parents as primary disciples to reinforce church priorities
Planning, Administration & Stewardship:
  • Coordinate budgets, calendars, schedules, registration and logistics with staff leadership
  • Maintain safe, organized ministry environments aligned with CCCHURCH policies
  • Assess ministry effectiveness with leadership to refine plans based on feedback and results
Staff Collaboration & Alignment:
  • Work with the Executive Pastor, Lead Pastor, elders, and leaders to strengthen CCCHURCH's discipleship pathway
  • Support smooth transitions across children, student, young adult, life group and serving ministries
  • Foster a collaborative ministry environment by sharing information, seeking alignment and promoting church health and unity
