Resource Innovations is seeking a Team Lead for an Energy Efficiency Field Team in Ohio to spearhead our Inflation Reduction Act Program field delivery. The Team Lead will build and lead a dynamic field service team dedicated to delivering high‑quality in‑home energy audits and ensuring quality control for our HOMES and HEAR programs. They will manage a customer‑focused team of technicians certified in BPI standards, conduct comprehensive in‑home energy audits focusing on income‑based program participants, and collaborate with contractor networks.

Oversight extends to residential weatherization, HVAC, and water heating installation inspections, reviewing QA/QC findings to ensure program integrity. The role includes working with partners to implement effective solutions based on audit findings and client feedback, and collaborating cross‑functionally to enhance program effectiveness.

We are looking for mission‑driven clean energy professionals with proven experience in energy auditing, building science, or related fields, along with established relationships within housing, rebate/incentive programs, and community development. Strong leadership, team‑building, and customer‑service skills are essential, as is knowledge of BPI certifications and related standards. Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities will set you apart.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise, coach, and support field technicians to ensure high‑quality installation and service.
  • Review and QC field technicians’ audits, ensuring energy modeling requirements are met.
  • Assist leadership in recruiting and training BPI‑certified Energy Auditors to build a skilled team.
  • Manage verification processes across programs, ensuring assignment selection and documentation completion.
  • Conduct onsite inspections, create inspection reports, and address any issues identified.
  • Implement energy audit protocols and QA/QC requirements to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • BPI Certified.
  • Must reside in a metropolitan area of Ohio.
  • 2+ years experience in energy efficiency, utility programs, quality assurance, consulting, HVAC, or facility maintenance.
  • Experience leading teams.
  • Technical knowledge of building science, construction, energy‑using systems, lighting, and audit technologies.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Maintain current auto insurance coverage that meets state requirements.
  • Access to a personal vehicle for work‑related travel; ability to travel 25‑75% (limited overnight travel).
  • Interest in sustainability and passion for making a meaningful impact on the environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $75,000–$85,000, commensurate with skills, experience, and qualifications. Eligible for a discretionary annual bonus. Benefits include three weeks of paid vacation annually, paid holidays, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, medical, dental and vision coverage, parental leave, employee assistance program, commuter benefits, and supplemental offerings.
