Field Service Engineer – Columbus, OH

As a result of the combination of the BD Biosciences and Diagnostic Solutions business with Waters Corporation (NYSE: WAT), you will be applying for a position with Waters.

• Install and service instrumentation with minimal supervision according to ISO and GMP standards, while providing thorough follow-up service to ensure customer satisfaction and documenting all service activities in compliance with GMP requirements.
• Maintain proper car stock inventory, test equipment, tools, and technical documentation, including company vehicles per Corporate fleet policy.
• Manage time and expense control, keeping all travel and site visit expenses within established guidelines; account for credit cards, travel advances, and spare parts inventory.
• Report quality control and technical problems in detail to the Service Center and System Support Engineering Manager and interface with other departments to resolve customer issues promptly.
• Represent BD by promoting and maintaining excellent customer relations through high standards of personal appearance, ethical behavior, maturity, and good judgment.

• High School diploma.
• Minimum 3 years experience troubleshooting instruments or components.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of work time.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or a related technical/biological discipline.
• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, especially with medical devices.
• Experience with flow cytometry technology.
• Customer‑facing experience.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools (digital volt meters, oscilloscopes), MS Office, and both Mac and PC operating systems.

Employment is contingent upon being fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Columbus, Ohio area and surrounding states; requires regular on‑site service calls.

USD hourly $25.20 – $40.30.
