This position offers a unique opportunity to support the development and construction of some of the nation's most significant energy infrastructure projects, including combined-cycle natural gas plants, gas turbines, heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), steam turbines, wind farms, solar facilities, battery energy storage systems (BESS), fuel cells, and other emerging generation technologies. These projects are critical to supporting economic growth, large industrial customers, data center development, system reliability, and the evolving energy needs of our communities.
The Contract Analyst supports procurement, strategic sourcing, contract administration, and supplier management activities associated with the development, construction, and commissioning of utility-scale generation assets. This role plays a critical part in ensuring commercial compliance, contract execution, supplier accountability, and alignment among key project stakeholders.
The successful candidate will work closely with Category Managers, Project Managers, Engineering, Construction, Legal, Risk Management, Finance, Supply Chain, and key suppliers to support the full contract lifecycle-from sourcing strategy and supplier selection through contract execution, project delivery, and closeout.
What You’ll Do:- Support procurement and contract administration activities for Utility-scale combined cycle gas turbine projects including construction services, combustion turbines, Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs), steam turbines and generators
- Support procurement and contract administration activities for wind generation facilities, solar facilities, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), fuel cell projects and other emerging generation technologies
- Support competitive sourcing events, RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, bid analyses, and negotiations
- Analyze supplier proposals, commercial terms, pricing structures, and contractual deviations.
- Prepare sourcing recommendations and commercial evaluations for management review
- Review supplier contracts for commercial, financial, operational, and contractual risk.
- Coordinate reviews with Legal, Insurance Risk Management, Credit Risk, Safety, and Environmental stakeholders.
- Develop mitigation strategies for contractual, schedule, and supplier-related risks.
- Support contract negotiations and claim avoidance initiatives.
- Administer and manage the lifecycle of major capital project contracts including EPC agreements, equipment supply contracts, long-term service agreements, reservations, engineering services agreements, and construction contracts.
- Monitor contractual obligations, deliverables, milestones, notices, payment events, warranty requirements, and closeout activities
- Serve as a primary commercial contact for assigned suppliers.
- Participate in supplier performance reviews and business reviews
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, finance, supply chain, or other related field; OR 4 years of relevant work experience.
Experience:
In customer service and/or procurement helpful
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills desired
- Familiarity with Maximo or other Procurement systems of record preferred
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) desired with an ability to communicate with business partners, stakeholders, and suppliers
- Ability to be persuasive and build credibility desired
