TheOpportunity
- Work with multi‑discipline teams to develop design materials for project assignments for heavy civil works projects such as generation, power infrastructure (transmission, distribution, substations), solar, wind, dams, buried infrastructure, tunnels, etc.
- Perform analysis, design calculations, design sketches, and prepare geotechnical design reports to meet project requirements.
- Perform, coordinate, and manage geotechnical field investigations.
- Coordinate, manage, observe, and document geotechnical construction activities such as grouting, ground improvement, deep foundations, retaining walls, etc.
As part of BV Operations, your skills will be aligned to projects that support our three market sectors – Governments & Environment, Energy & Process Industries, and Connectivity & Commercial. In roles such as Engineers, Technicians, and Skilled Specialists you will be engaged with exciting projects across the globe, from small community improvements to grand‑scale mega projects. Key Responsibilities- Coordinate internal teams and resources while understanding client interests and needs.
- Develop structural technical specifications, plans, and details for projects such as power generation facilities, substations, transmission lines, solar sites, dams, canals, flood control projects, municipal water, wastewater, and pipelines.
- Plan, design, and oversee geotechnical aspects for projects both in the office and in the field.
- Travel on field assignments as required; field time estimated at 20–40%.
- Experience with geotechnical investigations, grouting, ground improvement, deep foundations, and retaining walls.
- Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Active Engineering‑In‑Training (EIT) – preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program in the applicant’s home country or the country where they practice.
- Minimum of one year related work experience.
- Must be able to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor‑vehicle records search, etc.).
- U.S. citizenship is required because the position supports U.S. Federal Government projects.
Active Engineering‑In‑Training (EIT) License
