JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Under general supervision of the Engineering Division and reporting to the Engineering Coordinator, this position provides support and assistance by performing a wide range of engineering and construction related tasks, including waterlines, storm water/sanitary sewer, roadway, sidewalks, and drainage.

verifying that actual construction progress agrees with approved progress schedules.

LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
:
Valid State of Ohio Driver's License and the ability to maintain insurability under the City's vehicle insurance policy.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (

Knowledge of:
- * Applicable laws, regulations, City policies, procedures, and requirements including Ohio Ethics law and Public Records law;
- Safety standards
- Government structure and process;
- Civil and traffic engineering;
- Materials, methods, and equipment used in roadway, waterline, storm and sanitary sewer construction;
- * Columbus Construction & Materials Specification (current edition);
- OEPA regulations;
- Project management and construction management (including plans and specs);
- drafting;
- Surveying;
- Mechanical diagrams;
- Public relations;
- * Local geographic area.
Skill in:
- Proficient use of applicable technology and software
- Use of modern office equipment;
- Motor vehicle operation;
- Use of engineering tools/equipment;
- Use of Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CAD) software;
- Use of surveying tools/equipment.
