As a Construction Coordinator specializing in Construction Materials Testing (CoMET) and Special Inspections, you will be a vital member of our operations team, responsible for a variety of transportation and building projects throughout the Midwest.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in materials testing and special inspections, and the requisite knowledge and experience to perform Inspections and testing as required by the Ohio Building Code.

• Daily Scheduling of Field Personnel
• Take scheduling phone calls, texts, and emails from clients and/or contractors
• Organize and distribute schedule to field personnel daily
• Consider internal and external factors for each assignment to ensure proper coverage and quality service
• Assist field personnel with necessary prep work for next day’s assignments, as needed
• Lead daily schedule meetings with the Operations team.
• Onboarding and training for new hires
• Assist Department Manager with onboarding new personnel.
• Create and update employee file and training records
• Assist Department Manager with classroom and in-field training, including but not limited to:
• Soils & Aggregates - Compaction
• Fresh Concrete Testing
• Masonry Observation and Sampling
• Reinforcing Steel Observation
• SFRM - Sampling/Testing and Inspection
• FF-FL - Layout, Testing, Reporting
• Pavement Coring
• Reporting and documentation
• Plan reading and comprehension
• Perform periodic site audits for field personnel to ensure proper testing and inspection methods are being followed
• Interface with field personnel and clients/contractors to resolve site specific issues and/or conflict
• Assist with personnel morale planning and implementation

• Assist in Team goals
• Ensuring daily production goals are met
• Internal Quality Control for processes and deliverables
• Organization of department equipment, tools, and property
• Miscellaneous errands to facilitate daily operations
• Oversight and Supervision of Field Personnel
• Equipment Maintenance and Procurement
• Procurement and distribution of PPE and safety equipment
• Participation/Attendance for departmental meetings and strategies
• Project oversight as needed
• Report Reviews
• Pre Construction and Progress Meetings
• Timesheet and expense reviews as needed

• Minimum of three years working in the field as a Civil Engineering Technician, or equivalent
• Familiarity with all standard and non-standard testing methods and equipment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• ACI Field Testing Grade 1 certification
• Nuclear Gauge and HAZMAT certification

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field
• ACI, ICC, NICET, NETCP, OAIMA certifications
