Process Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Environmental Engineer, Materials Engineer
I’m currently partnering with a global leader in specialty carbon and gas-phase filtration solutions on a confidential search for an Applications Engineer focused on gas and vapor phase technologies.
This is a high-impact role sitting at the intersection of product development, laboratory testing, and customer-facing technical support, with a particular focus on specialty impregnated carbons used in respirator, industrial hygiene, indoor air quality, vapor recovery, odor control, biogas, and air purification applications.
🔬 What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting new product development and scale-up initiatives
- Conducting and developing gas-phase adsorption test methods (including non-standard methods)
- Leading customer-facing technical discussions related to respiratory health and IAQ standards
- Managing product validation, sampling, pilot trials, and joint development projects
- Supporting Sales & Business Development teams with technical expertise
- Utilizing statistical tools (DOE, gage R&R, run charts) to evaluate performance and quality
- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
- Experience in gas/vapor phase treatment, adsorption technologies, respirator cartridges, or related filtration markets
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies and performance validation
- Comfortable in both laboratory and customer-facing environments
- Willingness to travel (~25%)
This is a visible role within a technically respected, innovation-driven organization with strong growth potential.
If you have experience in gas-phase filtration, activated carbon, respirator applications, or adjacent environmental air technologies — I’d welcome a confidential conversation.
