Be the Expert Behind the Aircraft as a Field Service Technician

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire a Field Service Technician in a Direct hire role , who thrives in dynamic, customer-facing environments. This role puts you at the center of aircraft operations—solving technical challenges, supporting customers, and ensuring world-class performance and reliability for advanced business aircraft.

Role Overview

As a Field Service Technician, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, helping integrate and maintain aircraft within their operations. You’ll troubleshoot complex issues, support maintenance activities, and provide insights that enhance safety, efficiency, and overall fleet performance. Your expertise will directly impact operational success and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support customers in integrating aircraft into their operations with a focus on safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting support to diagnose and resolve technical issues

  • Escalate critical technical or operational concerns to internal teams and customer leadership

  • Deliver informal training and share technical, operational, and maintenance best practices

  • Keep internal management informed of key fleet performance and maintenance issues

  • Identify opportunities to improve customer procedures and operational efficiency

  • Promote and explain service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and technical documentation

  • Prepare and deliver reports in accordance with established schedules and requirements

  • Lead or support field activities including modifications, upgrades, and repair efforts

  • Collaborate with internal support teams to resolve recurring or complex fleet issues

  • Participate in customer meetings, including reliability and operational reviews

  • Travel to customer sites and service facilities to oversee troubleshooting and support activities

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of aviation maintenance experience

  • At least 2 years of experience working with Bombardier aircraft platforms (Global or Challenger series preferred)

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in aircraft systems

  • Proficiency with computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and web-based tools

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working across teams and with customers

  • Strong business writing skills for reporting and documentation

  • Ability and willingness to travel as required

  • Self-motivated with a proactive, problem-solving mindset

Preferred Qualifications
  • EASA or FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license

  • Experience supporting high-performance business aircraft in operational environments

  • Familiarity with service documentation such as Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins

Pay Details

Pay Details: $34.00 to $47.00 per hour
