Compensation:
Base Salary $85,000-$120,000 + Bonus + PAID Relocation
We are seeking an Electrical Project Control Engineer to support capital and process improvement projects at our client's South Columbus, OH manufacturing facility
. In this role, you will lead the planning, design, and execution of electrical and control system projects that support plant operations and long-term infrastructure improvements.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, maintenance, safety, and external contractors to deliver projects that enhance safety, reliability, and productivity across the facility.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related engineering discipline
- 5+ years of experience working with industrial controls, PLC, or DCS systems
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming and industrial process instrumentation
, or a strong willingness to develop these skills - Familiarity with SCADA/HMI platforms such as GE Proficy iFIX is a plus
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of electrical and control system projects
, including both new installations and upgrades to existing manufacturing processes. - Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within approved financial parameters.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to execute engineering and construction activities.
- Manage the full project lifecycle, including scope development, bid evaluation, capital authorization requests, construction oversight, and system startup
. - Track project progress and spending from concept through commissioning
, communicating updates and adjusting plans as needed. - Support plant automation, control systems, and power distribution infrastructure
, including PLC and process instrumentation implementations. - Assist operations and maintenance teams with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to plant systems.
- Ensure projects meet safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
, including relevant OSHA and process safety standards. - Contribute to the development of operating procedures and training materials related to new systems and process improvements.
