Senior Engineer

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer with a strong focus on Capital Expenditures (Cap Ex) to join a leading manufacturing company. This role is ideal for an engineering professional with a proven background in capital project management, equipment implementation, and facilities or process improvements who is ready to take on increased responsibility in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of hands‑on engineering expertise and strategic planning skills to support operational growth and long‑term investment initiatives.

• Lead and manage Cap Ex projects from concept through completion, including budgeting, scheduling, design, installation, and commissioning.
• Develop capital justifications, ROI analyses, and project proposals for new equipment, process improvements, and facility upgrades.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, finance, and leadership teams to align capital projects with business objectives.
• Oversee equipment specifications, vendor selection, and contractor management to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Manage project risk, scope changes, and cost controls throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all capital projects comply with safety regulations, engineering standards, and company policies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve reliability through capital investment.
• Coordinate equipment installation, start‑up, and validation activities with minimal disruption to operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation, drawings, and records for capital assets and completed projects.
• Provide regular project status updates, timelines, and financial reporting to senior leadership.

• 5+ years of engineering experience with a strong emphasis on Cap Ex or capital project management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline).
• Proven experience managing capital budgets, timelines, and cross‑functional project teams.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, industrial equipment, and facility systems.
• Design Experience including multiple years of CAD.
• Experience working with vendors, contractors, and equipment suppliers.
  
  Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
• Ability to analyze technical and financial data to support capital investment decisions.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles is a plus.

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: $95,000 – $110,000 based on experience

Hours: Monday through Friday
