Job Purpose

The Mechanical Project Manager leads mechanical engineering projects to ensure designs, schedules, and deliverables align with business objectives. The role is responsible for coordinating engineering activities, managing project execution, and ensuring compliance with technical requirements. Success in this role results in on‑time project delivery, controlled costs, and high‑quality mechanical solutions supporting customer and operational needs.

IMS Responsibilities
  • Adhere to the Employee Handbook, Group Code of Conduct, the Group Compliance Policy, the IMS Policy, and all other applicable company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of the requirements of, and their individual contribution to and impact on the effectiveness of, the Integrated Management System (IMS), including Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental and Product Compliance objectives and requirements.
  • Report on unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, incidents, and injuries, quality issues, compliance concerns, violations to the appropriate personnel without delay.
  • Participate in required training, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Project Planning, Execution & Control
  • Drive mechanical project execution aligning scope, schedule, budget, and technical requirements with objectives.
  • Oversee project plans, schedules, and resources ensuring milestones are achieved within defined constraints.
  • Evaluate project performance and determine actions improving schedule adherence, cost control, and outcomes.
  • Execute project plans ensuring alignment with engineering standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Manage project budgets, track costs, and implement controls ensuring financial performance and accountability.
Engineering Coordination & Technical Delivery
  • Collaborate with engineering teams aligning designs, specifications, and technical requirements across project phases.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and submittals ensuring accuracy and compliance with requirements.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and field teams supporting project execution and delivery requirements.
  • Assess technical outputs ensuring alignment with engineering standards, codes, and project specifications.
  • Support technical decision‑making by providing guidance across mechanical engineering and project activities.
Project Performance, Risk & Stakeholder Management
  • Oversee compliance with project, regulatory, and contractual requirements across mechanical engineering activities.
  • Identify project risks and determine mitigation strategies preventing delays, cost impacts, and performance issues.
  • Monitor project performance and escalate risks impacting delivery timelines or customer commitments.
  • Lead stakeholder communication ensuring alignment on project status, expectations, and performance outcomes.
  • Drive project discipline through reporting, coordination, and continuous improvement across project execution.
