A growing utility construction company in Columbus, OH is seeking detail-oriented CAD Drafters to assist with the development of aerial and underground utility designs for ongoing fiber optic and telecommunications infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Will teach, but must learn to read and interpret engineering blueprints, utility conduit plans, and construction schematics
- This position is part of their engineering design team and works under moderate supervision to transform survey data and field notes into AutoCAD-based construction drawings.
- Translating field notes to develop and update conduit/ cable engineering design drawings in AutoCAD.
- Strong time management, organization, and independent research skills
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Willingness to learn, and ability to work independently
- 1+ years of experience working with AutoCAD
- Starting Wage: $20–$23 per hour - Rate will depend on relevant experience and technical proficiency.
