Job Description
We have an excellent opportunity for an Environmental Assistant Project Manager to augment our established Environmental Practice in our Columbus, OH office. You will be responsible for managing tasks on environmental assessment and remediation projects for real estate, mining, power sector, manufacturing, and public sector clients; communicating with current clients, and mentoring junior staff. This position includes limited field work consisting of environmental monitoring/sampling of soil, groundwater, and stormwater, as well as field management of remediation projects.
Regional travel may be required.
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a related field (Master's degree or professional license a plus)
- 5+ years of experience executing environmental projects under federal/state programs and industry standards
- Practical knowledge managing and executing environmental due diligence projects, including Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments following ASTM guidelines
- Managing and executing underground storage tank removal, assessment, and remediation projects
- Experience collecting environmental samples (soil, groundwater, sediment, and air), reviewing laboratory analytical reports, and preparing summary reports
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project) is preferred
- Proficient in electronic data management and tabulation (Santias and ESDat a plus)
- Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations
- Environmental permitting/compliance and regulatory reporting program experience a plus
- Solid organizational and time‑management skills
- Strong team‑building and interpersonal skills
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- HAZWOPER training is a plus
