Sr. Aircraft Avionics Technician

Position Overview

Senior Aircraft Avionics Technician – Temporary (contract) position with the New Helicopter Completions team based in Columbus, MS. No set time period; may extend or shorten as needed.

• Perform assembly, installation, repair, and replacement of aircraft electrical/electronic components and systems, including manufacturing, maintenance, or refurbishing of aircraft.
• Conduct function checks of components as required.
• Work closely with lead person to coordinate schedules, priorities, availability of parts, supplies, tools, and special instructions.
• Use blueprints, sketches, vendor and service manuals, and other source data to obtain dimensions, locations, alignment, tolerances, and specification requirements.
• Employ standard and specialized hand tools, power equipment, measuring devices, and test equipment to complete assignments.
• Ensure all completed work complies with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company specifications.

• Minimum of six (6) years of experience working on avionics in aircraft, preferably rotorcraft.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and fabricate/repair modifications of aircraft structures and repairs.
• Current A&P license is a plus.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
