Position OverviewThe Chemical Regulatory Compliance Specialist supports the management of global product and substance regulatory information. This role contributes to the authoring, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and labeling in alignment with regional and international requirements.
The position assists in product stewardship activities by reviewing raw material SDS, conducting substance hazard evaluations, and monitoring evolving regulatory requirements to help maintain compliance across global markets. Additionally, this role contributes to the classification of dangerous goods and executes key transactional processes that support the safe manufacturing, distribution, and commercialization of chemical products.
Working as part of a cross-functional team, the Chemical Regulatory Compliance Specialist partners with manufacturing, commercial, and regulatory colleagues to support day-to-day compliance and ensure consistency in hazard communication and regulatory practices globally.
Job ResponsibilitiesSafety Data Sheet (SDS) Authoring & Hazard Communication:
Author, review, and maintain SDS and labels using SDS authoring system in compliance with global regulations (e.g., GHS), ensuring accurate hazard classification and product safety information.

Dangerous Goods Classification & Transportation Compliance:
Classify dangerous goods per international regulations (ADR, IATA, IMDG, DOT) and ensure accurate shipping, labeling, and documentation.

Regulatory Compliance & Product Approvals:
Support global regulatory approvals for products and raw materials, including REACH and TSCA compliance activities.

Hazard Evaluation & Regulatory Surveillance:
Conduct hazard assessments and monitor regulatory changes, performing impact analyses to support compliance actions.

Regulatory Data Management & Systems:
Maintain accurate regulatory data in systems (e.g., SAP EHS), support system updates, and drive process improvements.

Cross-Functional Support & Compliance Assurance:
Partner with internal teams to implement regulatory requirements, support audits, deliver training, and ensure ongoing compliance.

Experience working with regulatory or EHS systems (e.g., SAP EHS or similar platforms)
