Overview
Supports a broad range of moderately complex projects (design, implementation, etc.). Projects could range from new equipment, procurement and installation; machine safety improvements; maintenance projects; equipment enhancement; new products; sales support, training support, etc. Projects may be small stand-alone projects or portions of a larger project with the larger project being managed by others. Also troubleshoots current production equipment/processes for maximum quality throughput.
Generates cost savings ideas throughout facility.
- Successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and with required functionality
- Effective monitoring and communication of project cost and schedule to stakeholders
- Accurate integration of new systems and equipment
- Proactive risk identification and mitigation throughout the project timeline
- Define project scope and objectives
- Develop and manage project budgets and schedules
- Identify and manage project risks and issues
- Communicate project status and performance metrics to stakeholders
- Provide clear and consistent updates on project status and key metrics
- Troubleshoot and support production equipment and processes
- Provide technical assistance to Sales and other departments
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Experience with product and process design techniques (APQP, Flow Charts, Control Plans, FMEA, PPAP, etc.)
- Intermediate knowledge of machine design and operating principles
- Intermediate knowledge of machine repair and troubleshooting practices
- Proficiency in CAD, PC systems, and PLCs
- Hands-on, independent contributor who thrives in team environments
- Ability to travel 25-50%
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience
