Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineer
Job Number: P25 F04
Honda Research Institute USA (HRI-US) is seeking a motivated quantum engineer/researcher to join our interdisciplinary quantum technology group working at the intersection of quantum sensing, quantum materials, and energy technologies. The primary focus of the position is development of NV-diamond quantum magnetometers for battery health monitoring, magnetic imaging, and inline battery manufacturing inspection. The successful candidate will work closely with external collaborators to assemble and optimize quantum sensing hardware and adapt it for industrial battery applications.
In parallel, the candidate will also participate in broader quantum physics research activities within the group, including programmable quantum materials, virtual moiré systems, and emergent quantum phases such as superconductivity in rhombohedral and bilayer graphene. The role offers a unique combination of applied quantum engineering, advanced instrumentation, industrial prototyping, and fundamental quantum physics research.
Columbus, OH
